most ppl here would call me "ver", "ber".. in primary school, frens even called me "o-ver".. hahah.. now got a few frens call me "ollie" lar.. if u think bout it.. mirians (or mayb asians) go for the end-part of a name when they wanna shorten ur name.. i'll giv u a few mor examples..

Julian - "ian" or "yien".. y not "jules"?
Jonathan - "tan", "atan", "nathan"?? *hehe duno bout the last one lah..* but then, sum do call him jon..
Joshua - "shua".. now ppl call him "josh"..
Trevor - "ver".. i call him "trev"
Gavin - "vin", "bin".. i call him "gav"..
Joseph - "sep".. i call him "sep" too.. y not "jo"? i oso duno..
Valentine - "tine".. y not "val"?
Matucci - "chi".. y not "matt"?
Andrew - "drew", "ru".. y not "andy"?
Alex - "lek" *hehe.. yea.. chinese slang* y not "al"?
Emmanuelle - "wel".. y not "emma"? *hahaha.. yea.. sounds girlie, thas y..*
Elisha - "sha".. i dun hav any other shortened versions of this one..
Arthur - "ter".. altho, i think sum ppl call him "art"? "arth"?
David - "vid".. y not "dave"?
Renee - "nee".. but i do hear ppl calling her "ren" (including myself)
Christina - heheh.. everyone calls her "chris".. we tried to start calling her "tina" once.. she friggin hates it.. hah! =) so.. hush.. hush.. dun tell her i blogged bout it.. n dun go calling her "tina"..
